Valley Community Center Board Members Conduct Site Visits To Local Community Centers

This week, the Valley Community Center board is conducting site visits to four community centers in the metro area. We are looking at 4 sites:  V3 Sports Plymouth, Shoreview Comm Center, St. Paul Midway YMCA and Maplewood YMCA. We are fortunate to be within variable proximity to excellent community centers in the Metro Area, but driving 30 minutes to 1 hour from Minnesota’s central river valley in Washington County is not ideal for the 69,000+ residents who live here. The long drive makes it clear there is a need for a closer community center within this growing area.

We are excited to meet with leadership at these centers. Our goal is to gain wisdom from what they have done successfully, and also learn from their challenges in programming their centers.
