Every donation brings us closer to our goal of creating an inclusive, accessible, central space that fosters social connection, wellness, and recreation for the entire St. Croix Valley. Predevelopment donations will support:

  • Securing a Suitable Site: We have found a home and are in final discussions for a property aligned with community goals located in the heart of the St. Croix Valley at Lake Elmo Ave North and Stillwater Blvd; the site of the current Lake Elmo Elementary School. The site went on the market in September 2025, VCC has tied up the property, the school is closing in May 2026, and VCC would acquire the site in late 2026. Funding will enable professional services including real estate project management, geotechnical and environmental surveys, market studies, and initial site design and allow us to obtain initial municipal approvals. These essential, specialized, one-time tasks exceed our current capacity and expertise. 

  • Strengthening our Communications: Building greater awareness and support is critical. Funding will allow investment in platforms, tools, and professional services to effectively share VCC’s story and improve systems.

  • Finalizing our Partnerships: VCC is completing a formal agreement with an operating partner for the future facility.
