Valley Community Center: a place to swim, play, exercise and socialize right here in the St. Croix Valley
Concept-level plans include:
An Aquatics Facility
with a separate lap swimming pool and a warm water leisure pool which may also host swimming lessons, with child-friendly play features such as a slide and accessible zero-depth entry.
Event and Meeting Space
with youth programming, education and enrichment opportunities for the community to be provided in inspiring gathering spaces, supporting mental health and wellness. The spaces may host retirement parties, sports banquets, dry weddings, celebrations of life, baby showers, class reunions, alumnae events, Yellow Ribbon reintegration programs, bridal showers, meetings, summer camps, and more.
Accessible Fitness Center
with individual and group exercise, bright studios for various classes, and sports courts with flexible setup options, all available to the public.
Child Watch and an Indoor Playground
so people of all ages will have indoor activity options right here in the St. Croix Valley, no matter the weather, so kiddos - and their caregivers - may be supported year-round.
Meeting the needs

As the population in Washington County continues to grow, so does the need for infrastructure that supports social and mental health, and life skill development. The proposed Valley Community Center will not only address these critical needs but also serve as a vibrant economic engine for Washington County. By offering inspiring spaces to swim, play, exercise and socialize, this center will become a key health and wellness asset for residents and a sought-after regional destination.
Through an extensive feasibility study and community engagement, key priorities and amenities have been identified to ensure that the Valley Community Center meets the diverse needs of our growing population.
