Valley Community Center feasibility study findings

Attached is our feasibility study by Ballard*King & Associates: a recreation consulting firm specializing in recreation and sports feasibility studies, parks and/or recreation master plans, operational audits and assessments for recreation, sports and wellness facilities, and management solutions for parks and recreation departments or organizations.

Ballard*King & Associates concluded:

1. The survey has strong support for the development of an indoor recreation center with a pool being an anchor component.

2. The demographics of the service area are consistent with those that would support an indoor facility with a high cost recovery rate.

3. The National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) data illustrates a significant market for participation.

4. The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) data indicates that the population of the primary service area can support an indoor facility.
